Raiffeisen Bank — Digital Tools for Financial Operations
Raiffeisen Bank is one of Europe’s leading financial institutions, serving millions of individual and corporate clients across Central and Eastern Europe. The Ukrainian division is a key part of this ecosystem, constantly innovating its digital banking solutions to enhance efficiency and transparency for both customers and employees.
Client background
Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine focuses on combining innovation with trust — providing reliable financial services while embracing modern technology. The bank’s internal digital transformation aims to streamline financial operations, optimize employee workflows, and strengthen international payment processes.
Business challenge
The bank needed specialized internal tools to simplify complex financial operations for its employees — including tracking SWIFT payments, verifying transaction statuses, and searching bank information across multiple systems. The goal was to build lightweight, fast, and secure web applications that could be easily integrated into the existing corporate ecosystem, while maintaining high standards of compliance and security.
Implementation
I developed two microfrontend web applications — one for monitoring and following SWIFT payments and another for bank search and verification used by Raiffeisen’s internal teams. The projects were built using Angular and React, designed for modular integration into the bank’s broader microfrontend architecture.
Together with the team, we enhanced the platform’s architecture with unified authentication, optimized API communication layers, and implemented secure data access controls. We also improved the internal UI framework, introduced analytics dashboards for employee productivity, and collaborated closely with DevOps engineers to ensure smooth CI/CD deployment and monitoring.
Value delivered
The new applications simplified daily operations for bank employees, reducing time spent on SWIFT payment tracking and interbank data lookups by more than half. The microfrontend architecture made the tools easily maintainable and scalable, while the modern, responsive interfaces improved usability and overall workflow efficiency. This project strengthened Raiffeisen’s position as a digital-first financial leader in the Ukrainian market.
